for the post-secondary institutions, than conventional colleges. I think they are pretty cool, because they are riddled with Black culture; everything from:

-Stepping Teams
-History taught from an alternative perpective
-A & T marching bands
-Black Professors *gasp*
-Driven Black students

and, contrary to popular opinion:

1) They are NOT exclusive to Blacks, hence the HISTORICALLY part of HBCU's

2) Morons can't get in, and a lot of them are on the Ivy League circuit, which means they rank among the top insitutions of learning in the world

i went to HBCU Lane College and proud of it. I had a very good time there. My son went to UAPB. I am proud to say and receive a a good education and join my frat. I notice a lot of young Black don't feel good about their own they prefer to around other and that is ok just as long as you get a education is what count.

You are missing the experience of a black campus nothing can be compared with it.

I have been taught to core style march in my high school band…and i like it a little because its so clean and precise.The problem is that i love southern university a&m of Baton Rouge and they are a high stepping style band and play awesome music.idk what i should do..I would have to learn there style of marching! please give me some advise..you can go check them out at humanjukebox.com

First off, don't just go to a school because of the band, im sure you know this but I thought I should say it anyway. Anyway…

GO TO SOUTHERN!!!!

They have the best band.
