    I happened to be in that particular band when Roy Lee was marching. I don’t think many people knew that he was a nationally ranked twirler. He wasn’t gay (atleast not @ that time, haven’t seen him in years) he was just upholding JSU’s tradition of flamboyant twirlers. You think he looked gay, you should’ve seen the twirler before him, “Flamin’ Raymond Neill. Raymond was gay, and proud of it !!! (hence the “Flamin’” part)
