Israel’s greatest protector in the UN is the US. Not only does it protest many resolutions, the US vetoes quite often. Remember a member, with veto power, only vetoes once every other member with veto power agrees to a resolution the vetoing member doesn’t agree with.

The rest of the members are obligated to go along with the veto and it is a crime for a charter member, or members, to act unilaterally outside of the UN. So, when the US wants its way it gets it.

So when the resolution in the UN was to act against Iraq with a NATO invasion and France imposed its veto it was illegal for the Americans, the British and all the others including Canada that paid lip service to the invasion while keeping its troops in Afghanistan. It is not only the US that is guilty here.

France is entitled to its opinion and, as we all should know, there was no sense of immediacy to take care of Iraq. Certainly not in the manner that was initiated by the US.

The UN inspectors, led by Blix, were doing a fine job of inspections in Iraq and keeping Saddam "honest" : )

Thanks for concisely putting forward the resolutions which prove that Israel provokes the problems, just like the other day provoking Syria. The UN is the only body we have to urge diplomacy and cooperation, like it or not.

I admire Jews. I mean they´ve kept their cultural identity through the centuries even though they´ve suffered so much. That smoltziem guy is so ignorant. The world is in such a chaos today because of people like him, who don´t appreciate other cultures and religions.

I feel for the Jewish people and their plight.

HOWEVER, they cannot dole out the same horrific treatment to the Palestinian people as they have recieved over their history.

AND, the USA will continue to have problems with Islamic terrorists as long as we continue to be a whore for Israel.

Give it up.. U.N. resolutions are meaningless…

You stand on a sliver of sand, where you are not wanted.. they will do everything they can to push you into the ocean…

If it was not for the U.S. they would have succeeded a long time ago…

Protect yourself, without counting on the U.N. for help…

That’s all you can do.

No, the UN helped to create Israel, you just have to keep in mind that the UN is powerless and it pressures Israel to give in because the powers that be feel that Israel is more likely to yield that the Arabs, if that makes any sense.
