   yea you say that because they play with power. look at BCU, they have power yet it is controlled. Go to one of their concerts and it sounds wonderful. their concert band is 10 times better than the bands that you are defending. Great tone quality, intonation just wonderful.

    I have to agree with you about OSU band being corny. I GO to The Ohio State Univ. and go to the football games but I’m from Baton Rouge and I tell you that there is nothing like the SOUND/FEEL of southern marching band.

    Whatever you feel personally about Southern’s band–one this is agreed–when they come into the place the opponent’s band know they have to step up. Southern is the best COMPLETE MARCHING band, hands down. They are one of the few bands that show skill on the field-not gyrating and popping or lying on their backs like roaches–what is that all about?

    my input is ……SU is the best driller out of the HCBU Schools…but people have their own opinions about SU…people talk like they a horrible high school…..them boys could drill…..they do have good tone and but of course they gone blow…..to ole boy with MSU….boi go head…sayin they walkin ..on a step 2 u gotta maintain distance and tempo…y would u march stupid u throw off the whole thing….

    It was cold and raining out there, that is not what we are use to in Louisiana. I barely knew I had feet marching on the field. I acn only imagine what horn players were dealing with as far as trying to keep their mouthpieces warm and lips warmed up. BET is the worse, they make everybody sound band just about…
